Terms of Service
Effective date: May 2026
1. About PassTheCivics
PassTheCivics is an independent study tool designed to help people prepare for the US naturalization civics interview. By using PassTheCivics, you agree to these Terms of Service.
2. Not affiliated with USCIS
Important disclaimer
PassTheCivics is an independent study aid. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Department of Homeland Security, or any other government agency. For official information about the naturalization process, visit uscis.gov.
3. Not legal advice
Nothing on PassTheCivics constitutes legal advice. The civics content, AI tutor responses, N-400 guidance, and all other materials are provided for educational and study purposes only. Immigration law is complex and changes frequently. For advice specific to your situation, consult a licensed immigration attorney or accredited representative.
4. Accuracy of content
We make reasonable efforts to keep civics questions and answers aligned with the official USCIS 100-question test. However, we cannot guarantee that all content is current, complete, or error-free. Time-sensitive answers (such as the names of current officeholders) are retrieved from AI models with web search capability and may occasionally be incorrect. Always verify critical answers against official USCIS materials before your interview.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use PassTheCivics to:
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the AI tutor.
- Scrape, crawl, or copy content at scale without permission.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract proprietary logic.
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable law.
6. AI-generated content
The AI tutor uses large language models to generate responses. These responses may contain errors, outdated information, or content that does not reflect current USCIS policy. AI responses are not a substitute for official USCIS resources or qualified legal counsel.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
PassTheCivics is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PassTheCivics and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this service — including any outcome related to your naturalization interview or application.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes take effect when posted. Continued use of PassTheCivics after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
